About Us

My name is Tamara and I run Sweet Roots.  I live in Yorkshire with my 2 teenage children and enjoy hiking and creative activities.  I love animals and the outdoors and I have always felt a very spiritual connection to nature.  I have always been creative and growing up my grandmother always provided me with lots of artistic supplies and inspiration and I feel a sense of calm and contentment when being creative; thus reborning came as both an enjoyable hobby and then job for me.

My parents have always been a huge support behind me in my reborning, my dad would always be eager to see new reborn babies I had made and would cheer me on in my path of reborning and my mum shares my love of dolls and has always encouraged me to follow my dreams.

I started reborning many years ago initially I was looking to buy a reborn doll for myself to use as a model for baby clothing I made at the time but on seeing them I became infatuated decided to have a go at making one myself and it took off from there!   I have made many dolls for many happy customers all over the world.  I was also fortunate to have been a featured artist in the 'Reborn World' magazine and have also had the honour of being a protype artist on a couple of occasions.

I received many compliments on the rooting of my dolls and started receiving requests for custom rooting and I have a few clients who return time and time again who I am forever grateful to and it is a pleasure to root for them.

I do still make my own Reborn Babies from time to time, you can find information on this on the 'Reborn Dolls' section of my website.  I am planning to attend The Doll Show regularly and take with me a few dolls each time as apart from rooting I do still enjoy making dolls when I feel the inspiration and have the time to spare on this beautiful craft.  I will keep my BLOG updated of any upcoming shows I will be attending and you are welcome to message me via email.
